What does this Mean?
- We aren’t really upset with our Partner/Friend/Colleague
- Reliving Past Experiences – Its seems like the same
- It’s the memories Emotion/Though Memories that are Upsetting
Why does it happen?
- It’s a protection. A way of Defend the vulnerable scared parts inside
- We create these Psychological Defences
- We experience these defences through our bodily Sensations (emotional memories)
- Inner/Internal Model – how we experience or perceive the world (see my article about Beliefs to learn more)
What can we do to Shift it?
Awareness – Truly a Game Changer
- It allows us to witness or experience ourselves with some space
- Bodily Awareness – Become aware of the somatic/nervous system impact things have on us
- Releasing Emotional Energy – Slowly Letting Energy out of the Balloon
- We experience things with Safety – Changing our Experience (What we take from the experience)
- Understand our thinking – To be become aware of thinking around our upset
- Personal Responsibility – Not responsibility for the entire situation but our Experience of it
